Counseling and Consultation Services - NIU provides comprehensive mental health support to students currently enrolled at NIU. With a full range of services, presentations and programs, we focus on a variety of health and wellness topics. Our trained professionals are committed to improving your mental health as you work toward your academic and personal goals.
To start using our services, call 815-753-1206 to schedule an initial consultation. During your appointment, you'll speak with a counselor about your concerns and how to best meet your needs. Your appointment may be in person or remote (video or phone) based on your preference and other considerations.
Immediate help - Do you need help right now, or are you worried about someone else? Call us at 815-753-1206, any time of day or night, 24/7. If it's outside of office hours, you'll have the option of speaking with an on-call counselor.
